Bimat eye drops are used for the treatment of high eye pressure, also called intraocular pressure (IOP), in people with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. Glaucoma is caused by high pressure in your eye and can lead to pain from pressure in your eye and then can eventually harm your vision. This medicine can help you keep your sight by reducing the pressure in your eye and stopping eye pain. Lumigan can also be used to improve fullness, length, and colour of the eyelashes in people with a condition called hypotrichosis, a lack of eyelash growth.

How To Take

Do not use Bimat while you are wearing contact lenses. This medication may contain a preservative that can be absorbed by soft contact lenses. Wait at least 15 minutes after using the drops before putting your contact lenses in. Use Bimat exactly as prescribed. Do not use the medication in larger amounts, or for longer than recommended by your doctor. Follow the instructions on your prescription label. Wash your hands before use. Do not allow the Bimat dropper to touch any surface, including the eyes or hands. If the dropper becomes contaminated, it could cause an infection in your eye, which can lead to vision loss or serious damage to the eye.

Do not use Bimat if you are allergic to bimatoprost or any other chemicals contained in this medication. Speak to your doctor if you have swelling or infection in your eye. Do not take Lumigan if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant or breastfeeding. Bimat may cause a gradual change in the color of your eyes or eyelids and lashes. These color changes, usually an increase in brown pigment, occur slowly and you may not notice them for months or years. Color changes may be permanent even after your treatment ends, and may occur only in the eye being treated.
